Il y a quelque temps j'ai commandé des échantillons d'ombres à paupière de la marque J. Lynne Cosmetics. C'est une marque que je connais déjà. J'apprécie tout particulièrement leurs ombres à paupière Satin Pearls, leurs lipgloss (parfumés à l'orange!) et leur fond de teint. Voilà pourquoi j'ai voulu tester une autre gamme d'ombres à paupière. J'ai trois teintes
Crystalline: blanc pur
Earthen: un marron moyen tirant sur le beige
Storm: un gris foncé un peu bleuté un peu vert selon la lumière
A while ago, I ordered three eyeshadow samples from J. Lynne Cosmetics. It was not my first order from this site. I particularly like their Satin Pearls Eyeshadows, their (orange scented!) lipglosses and their foundations. That's why I wanted to try another sort of eyeshadows. I have three shades:
Crystalline: a pure white
Earthen: a medium brown bordering on beige
Storm: a dark blue grey that sometimes looks a bit green depending on the light
Toutes les teintes de cette gamme sont censées être brillantes ou même pailletées mais je ne m'attendais pas à l'effet boule à facettes qu'elles ont dans la réalité!
All shades from this collection are supposed to be shimmery and even sparkly but I was not really prepared for how SPARKLY they are in real life!

Les couleurs sont belles mais une fois appliquées, elles sont plutôt transparentes. C'est une bonne chose car elle sont très faciles à fondre et ne laissent jamais de ligne de démarcation. D'un autre côté bien sûr, il est difficile d'obtenir une couleur très pigmentée si c'est ce que vous recherchez.
The colors are beautiful but once on skin they are on the sheer side. The good thing is that they are super easy to blend and never leave harsh lines. The downside of course is that it is somewhat hard to get a very vibrant shade if that's what you're after.
Pour être honnête, ce sont des ombres que je pourrais jamais porter au travail car comme je l'ai dit, elle sont vraiment pailletées, l'effet n'est pas subtil du tout et en plus même quand on les applique mouillées, les particules pailletées ont tendance à tomber et à aller sur tout le visage. ll faudrait peut-être appliquer une bonne base pour régler ce problème mais je n'en porte jamais car les ombres tiennent très bien sur moi.
Now, I have to say that I could never wear these shadows to work because as I've said earlier they are super super sparkly, not subtle at all and even when applied wet, the glittery particles tend to fall off and go all over your face. Maybe you would have to apply a really good base to prevent that but I don't wear one as eyeshadows don't crease on me.
Pour conclure, j'aime bien les couleurs et la texture mais je vais m'en tenir aux ombres satinées (Satin Pearls) ou mattes (Plush Velvet) de la marque.!
To conclude, I really like the colors and the texture but I will stick with the satin pearls and plush velvet shadows from this brand!
